Forggensee-Schifffahrt Füssen took part in the certification of the Bavarian Economy for the Common Good in an intensive 5-month collaboration with 2 students from Kempten University of Applied Sciences.
The Economy for the Common Good (ECG) is an innovative, sustainable economic model with the aim of creating an ethical economic culture. As an alternative to the current understanding of the economy, it is based on the values of human dignity, ecological responsibility, solidarity, social justice, democratic co-determination and transparency.

Forggenseeschifffahrt launched by the Füssener Schifffahrtsgesellschaft Sturm KG District office granted permission to sail on the Forggensee and to set up boat moorings.
Takeover of shipping operations by the town of Füssen from the Füssener Schifffahrtsgesellschaft Sturma KG.
Construction of a boathouse for both passenger ships.
Final takeover of Forggenseeschifffahrt as an independent company of the town of Füssen by resolution of the town council.
Installation of a ventilation system in both passenger ships. The MS Roßhaupten receives a loudspeaker system.
MS Füssen replacement engine is installed, upholstered seats are reupholstered.
Approval of the radio system.
Start of construction of a new boathouse and purchase of a larger passenger ship.
Completion of the boathouse for MS Allgäu and commissioning of the passenger ship “Allgäu” with max. 250 passengers with a positive effect on increasing passenger numbers.
First night drive.
Inauguration of the “MS Stadt Füssen”, space for 130 passengers.

Acquisition of several small boats increases the attractiveness of the municipal boat rental service. Stand on small boats – 6 rowing boats, 12 pedal boats, 9 electric boats.
Commissioning of the passenger ship “Füssen” with a capacity of 400 people.
Sale of the boat rental business to Mr. Lutz Selbach.
50th anniversary of Forggensee shipping.
Management of the marketing of the Forggensee by Füssen Tourismus.
Replacement of the main engine on the MS Allgäu.
Battery replacement on the MS Allgäu.
Installation of a new main engine and a new power generator on the MS Füssen (main engine John Deer 300 HP 6 cylinder diesel engine).
Retirement of the plant manager Mr. Helmut Schuster and succession in office by Mr. Helmut Schauer.
Introduction of a new electronic cash register system in the kiosk at the instigation of the municipal auditing association.
Installation of a new catering refrigeration system for the on-board restaurant of the MS Füssen.
The MS Allgäu’s underwater hull is completely sandblasted and refurbished with 6 coats of paint.
Former technical director and captain, Mr. Joachim Brückner, is retiring and will be succeeded by Mr. Dirk Schranz.
